Malaysia - Georgetown, Penang

view of Penang as seen from our hotel room
After a chilly night at Genting Highlands, we packed our bags just before lunchtime, drove down the zigzag road they fondly call "bituka" and made our way to a butt tiring long hour drive to the charming town of Georgetown, Penang

It was a scenic long hour drive. I saw myself constantly leaning behind the glass window taking pictures of beautiful mountain views.

We were just in time for a much awaited seafood dinner at Restoran Makanan Laut Cia Xiang. Check out more photos of our seafood dinner at http://cookthisrecipe.blogspot.com/2011/11/seafood-dinner-at-restoran-makanan-laut.html

Our hotel for the night - Hotel Royal

It's nice to wake up (even if I just had a 3 hour sleep) to a gorgeous view such as this! Great way to start a long day tour.
