Malaysia Trip - Kuala Lumpur

Petronas Twin Towers
Being the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is rated as an alpha world city, and is the only global city in Malaysia according to the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network. During my recent stay, I find KL pretty welcoming, clean, conservative yet vibrant progressive city. Furthermore, it is known to cradle the famous and now the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers. Kuala Lumpur is a centre for finance, insurance, real estate, media and the arts of Malaysia. Below are some more photos I captured along the city center (daytime and night time) in the course of my short 2 day KL stay.

My Malaysia trip was an overwhelming experience with the fusion of Malay, Chinese and Indian culture making up for one unforgettable Asia’s melting pot encounter. From oldest mosques to skyscrapers to temples, the brilliant urban structure of Kuala Lumpur is surely hard to miss and I can’t help but compare. We walked our way to the sparkling Petronas Towers during our first night, strolling from one chic foodie street to another modish avenue surprisingly just one or two blocks away from each other. There are many affordable backpacker’s inn to lavish hotels comparable to New York city hotel reviews, and just like NY, nobody gets bored in KL and yes, accommodations here are plenty. This charming country has surely captured the hearts of many foreign visitors.

Petronas Twin Towers gigantic stance, standing tall over the beautiful Kuala Lumpur city could not be escaped.

Walk along the streets and you might find yourself sitting on the side with an artist painting you a portrait. Armed with my humble canon ixus, I find every night scene truly worth the click.
